Honey Bear is a family-friendly campground located in Boone, North Carolina. We are less than 3 miles from Appalachian State University and just over 4 from bustling downtown Boone.​
Our 2024 season is up and running and we are all having a wonderful time! Earlier this year we announced that HBC was being sold and with that, we were uncertain of what would happen to this special place that we all know and love. It has been quite a journey to get to this point, but we are thrilled to share the news that HBC will in fact remain a family friendly campground for MANY MANY years to come! We will still be around continuing to make memories alongside all of our loyal guests. Although our roles will look a little different as we move forward, we are so excited to see what the future holds for HBC!

Over the coming months, our team plans on doing a lot of upgrades and adjustments that will make your stays even more enjoyable. Stay tuned to all that we have going on by following us on Facebook as we document the Honey Bear 2.0 changes.

We no longer offer cable at our campground, as it has been unreliable in the past. Feel free to come see us in the office to rent one of our movies FREE. In addition, many campers are able to get satellite in our D-loop. Thank you for understanding!
